“ We came by in a group of 6 on a wednesday at about 6pm. We were greeted with a tea on the house and very welcoming service. But within about half an hour all tables were taken. So I would advice to make a reservation especially on the weekend. The food came fast and in big portions. The price is, especially for the volume and quality, great. We ordered quit a variations of dishes and we liked every one. They also serve fresh Ayran (in up to 0,5l glasses), what I would definitely recommend. They have also delicious desserts. Would recommend everyone a trip, if close by. ”

“ Köz Urfa in Altona turned out to be a really good surprise. I went with a chef friend who had been talking about it, and I get why. We started with a pide, and he insisted on the tuna one. I’ve never had tuna on pide before and honestly didn’t think it would work, but it was amazing. The dough was soft but still had a bite, the cheese was rich, and the tuna actually balanced everything out - which I didn’t expect. Very delicious. Then we went for the big mixed grill platter, which basically comes with a bit of everything. All the kebabs and meats were perfectly cooked, juicy and flavorful, and you could really taste the char from the grill. The salads, bread and sauces on the side were also great. It was just a really generous and well-made plate of food. Service was also solid. Friendly, fast and very welcoming. The place itself is quite something – the interior is bold and extravagant in a very Turkish way. Think chandeliers, gold tones and heavy décor everywhere. Some might find it over the top, but honestly it fits the vibe perfectly. It’s not trying to be minimalistic or trendy, it’s just proudly itself, and I actually really enjoyed that. Price to quality ratio is excellent. You get big portions and everything is well prepared. All in all, a proper 5/5. Great food, big selection, warm service and a place that doesn’t pretend to be something it’s not. ”
